Birdwatching

We have over 40 House Martins nests and from April to September it is an absolute pleasure to watch the birds swooping in and out of the nests.

The lake behind our hotel is an absolute paradise for birdwatchers. There is a small island in the middle of the lake where many Little Egrets, Cattle Egrets, Grey Herons and Night Herons make their nests. There are also Crested Grebe, Coot and Mallard.

Many other birds can be observed around the Auberge including Red Kite, Black Kite, Buzzard, Cuckoo, Black Redstart, Serin, Cirl Bunting.
